Flexible nasal endoscopy

In order to examine for nasal and throat conditions, a special camera is used to allow a close-up view of the important structures. This is not typically painful, although can be uncomfortable if the nose is narrowed from a septal deviation, for example. Local anaesthetic sprays are not typically needed, although available if required. The camera examination is performed using a high-tech video system so that the images are visible by both you and your surgeon, therefore allows a full explanation and discussion of the potential conditions.
